2017 MACUL Presenter Proposal
I. Driving Purpose for #FTTTP :
VIDEO #FTTTP: Social Learning (Video) & Emotional Learning (Video)
II. Outcomes
1. Attendees will obtain and interact with the FREE social media tools and template (website) that are the platform for collaboration, protocols, learning targets, development of self-awareness and servant leadership traits. How the #FTTTP movement/template will not only address pastoral care, but how it is applied throughout the curriculum.
2. Strategies and examples of how to 'Supervise' the DIGITAL PLAYGROUND: Giving students ownership and develop effective and meaningful Digital Citizenship protocols that will engage students with the FREE 21st Century Tools.
3. How Digital Portfolios (Weebly), Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Google Documents, iPhone/iPad, Chromebooks, Go Pro Camera, Green Screen Technology and Blogs drive the #FTTTP Movement in a PBL classroom.
II. Session Outline
Driving Question: Can Technology/Hashtag Ignite a Movement With Your Students?
1. #FTTTP Movement: Its' evolution and purpose: A need for servant leaders & a desire/need for an effect pastoral care model.
a. Creating a CHAIN of G.R.E.A.T.N.E.S.S. (Student designed chainlinks hung in room: Metaphor for collaboration)
b. #FTTTP Wristband: Daily reminder of commitment, working agreements and self-awareness growth
c. THE CREED: A ceremonial signed document between students and teacher and hung in locker
d. The #FTTTP Mystery is revealed: What does it stand for? What is its' purpose and function? How will it foster lifelong learning?
e. How a TEMPLATE was created in social studies class throughout our learning journey.
2. FREE 21st Century Tools that drove the movement beyond the classroom * Why the need? To increase engagement (5-D Model Review) with students beyond the classroom (Servant Leadership).
3. My Classroom: A PBL Model
1. How #FTTTP is weaved within the DNA of a PBL classroom
2. #FTTTP going public: demonstrated within PBL public display and presentations.
3. How to create your own POCKET OF GREATNESS with just a simple hashtag
4. How #FTTTP is creating a Non-Profit Foundation
